On august 23, 2001, Former intelligence officer Brian Regan was detained by FBI agents in Dulles international Airport boarding a flight to Switzerland for stealing important military information from the National Reconnaissance office. He was stopped with Multiple encrypted messages and the contact information of foreign diplomatic offices. the FBI discovered video surveillance of Regan stealing troves of top secret information in the days leading to his arrest. Regan stole over 20,000 pages of highly classified documents, these documents included various photos of Iraqi missile site, encoded tactical information, and a variety of videotapes and compact computer disks. he intended on selling these items to Libya, Iraq and china for an approximate 13 million dollars. before his arrest Regan had buried his stash in various State parks in Maryland and Virginia he put the location of these burial sites in a tooth brush holder and buried it under the i-95 exit sign near Fredericksburg, Virginia.
